Magazine for Digital Humanities – the E-Journal
The Forschungsverbund MWW assigned TBO INTERACTIVE to develop an innovative E-Journal, called “Magazine for Digital Humanities”.
TBO INTERACTIVE took over the conception, the design and the development of the open access journal which supports and corresponds with the internal workflows and quality management of our client, as well as fully meets the requirements of readers of all academic degrees.
ZfdG specializes in projects, methods and special topics in the field of Digital Humanities. The new platform allows users to quickly submit their own entries, publish them and likewise read and use the publications of other authors. A multistage review process guarantees high quality and long time accessibility of the content.
Besides the publication of single entries and contributions it was important for ZfdG to accumulate published articles into periodically released magazines and special issues, which can easily be teased and promoted on the editorially fully maintainable landing page. The aim of the concept, design and development was to create a clear and functional portal that is suitable for the publication of scientific work and distinguishes itself by a modern and light design.

About our client
The names Marbach, Weimar and Wolfenbüttel stand for three institutions, united by more than 500 years of German and European ideas, literature and culture. The German Literature Archive Marbach , the Klassik Stiftung Weimar and the Herzog August Library Wolfenbüttel collect, preserve and provide access to sources that are crucial to the study of German literary and intellectual tradition, and have thereby devoted themselves to the long-term transformations of cultural heritage in Germany.
